For most of the students, university time will be the first step into an independent life, and universitie’s purpose is to provide the most comfortable environment for all students.
The university is located within three buildings. There is a student hostel. The main building is located on 2.3 hectares of land, the total area is 35 thousand square meters. There are 3 football fields, 3 indoor sports halls, an aerobics hall, a boxing gym and a choreography hall. The modern assembly hall has 450 seats.
For students and university staff there is a three-stage catering complex, which includes a banquet hall, 2 dining rooms and 2 coffee shops.
The university library has a rich universal fund, in which more than 600 thousand units of information carriers, including more than 200 thousand items on electronic media.
The university has a business incubator, which was first opened to implement the business ideas of its students. The winners of the competition, in which more than 500 students participated, received a fully equipped environment for the implementation of their projects.
University’s IT infrastructure has more than 600 personal computers. The internal system is supported by a powerful server. “Turan” University was the first university in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which joined the Eduroam project, which allows students and university staff to use free Wi-Fi in almost any university in 54 countries of the world under their corporate login. Additionally, guests of the Turan University from foreign universities during a visit to Almaty will also be able to connect to wireless Internet access for free.
“Turan” University is full of places specifically designed for students’ rest and leisure. There are two coffee shops with cozy sofas and tables, two dining rooms with delicious food, and a special “Chill out” area with outdoor chess and table tennis open for everyone.
The Turan University has a large number of student organizations created and driven by active students.
