POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION
Master’s degree is the second stage of the modern three-stage training system “Bachelor – Master – Doctoral PhD.” Training in the Master’s degree program is aimed at training specialists capable to carry out successful research, pedagogical, developmental and innovative activities in Kazakhstan and international companies.

DIRECTIONS AND PERIODS OF MASTER ‘S DEGREE
Scientific and pedagogical (previous level of education – bachelor ‘s degree or higher special education without work experience), study period – 2 years.
Professionally oriented degree (previous level of education – bachelor ‘s degree or higher special education), with a study period – 1 year, 1.5 years.
Form of education: full- time
Languages of training: Kazakh, Russian.
Academic degree:
Scientific and pedagogical master ‘s degree: Master of Science MSc (in the corresponding specialty).
Professionally oriented master’s degree: (on the corresponding specialty).
ADMISSION TO THE MASTER ‘S DEGREE
From July 3 to July 25 of this year to submit the necessary package of documents to the

- Application to the Rector;
- Copy of Undergraduate Diplomas and Transcript;
- Personal record sheet and document confirming employment (for those who have working experience);
- Copy of the ID card;
- 6 passport-sized photos 3 × 4 cm.
- Medical certificate – Form 086-u approved by Order No. 907 of the Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan of 23 November 2010 “On Approval of Forms of Primary Medical Documentation of Health Organizations” (registered in the Register of State Registration of Normative Legal Acts under No. 6697) (hereinafter – Order No. 907);
- If available: copy of the international certificate confirming foreign language proficiency in accordance with European competences (standards). Documents’ copies must be accompanied by originals for collation purposes. Originals are returned right after the validation.
Foreign diploma and transcripts will need to pass the procedure of nostrification/recognition. Undergraduate Diplomas and Transcripts submitted in a foreign language must have a notarized translation into Kazakh/Russian.
Entrance examinations are held between 8-16 August , enrollment – until August 28.
To apply for the master ‘s degree applicants must:

Kazakh or Russian (Language)
- Foreign language Test (by choice: English, German or French)
- Test for definition of readiness for training (Kazakh or Russian)
- Test on a profile of group of educational programs (: Kazakh or Russian)
In English

- Test on a profile of group of educational programs in English
By groups of educational programs requiring creative training
- Foreign language Test (English, German or French)
- Test for definition of readiness for training (: Kazakh or Russian)
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan having the international certificates confirming foreign language skills according to the all-European competences (standards) of foreign language skills are exempted from an entrance examination in a foreign language in master’s degree on the following languages:
- English:
TOEFL ITP – at least 543
TOEFL IBT – at least 46
TOEFL PBT – at least 453
TOEFL PDT – at least 65
IELTS – at least 5.5
- German:
DSH (Niveau C1/C1 level)
TestDaF-Prufung (Niveau C1/level C1);
CF – не менее 400 баллов
- French:
TFI – at least B1 level by reading and auditing sections
DELF – В2 level
DALF – С1 level
TCF – at least 400 points
The authenticity of the submitted certificates is checked by the admission commission of universities and scientific organizations.
PRE-REQUISITE PROGRAMMES FOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
When entering to the master ‘s degree in case of mismatch of the profile of the educational program of the master ‘s degree with the educational program of higher education, the master ‘s degree is established pre-requisites for development. Applicants are allowed to master them independently and on a paid basis to pass the examinations after passing the entrance examinations. Programs of prerequisites on educational programs of master ‘s degree are developed with the corresponding departments.

ADMISSION UNDER THE STATE EDUCATIONAL ORDER (EDUCATIONAL GRANT)
For training on an educational grant, the persons who have received the highest points in the total amount of complex testing are enrolled in a master’s program with Kazakh or Russian language on a competitive basis:
For scientific and pedagogical master’s degree-at least 75 points;
Persons who have received the highest scores in the comprehensive testing in the amount of at least 50 points are enrolled in the master’s program with English language on an educational grant on a competitive basis
